The Chamber’s mission is to serve its members and community by providing services that promote the economy and protect the environment, making the Traverse City region a better place to live, work and play. Chamber membership connects businesses to people, ideas and resources needed to be successful. In addition, participation in the Chamber is an investment in the region’s prosperity by supporting programs, legislative advocacy and economic initiatives for all.

During the summer of 2018, I worked with the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce and performed the following tasks:

Collaborated directly with the executive director to secure over 40 corporate sponsors and 50 prize donations for the 2018 Chamber Golf Outing, which was attended by 260 community business leaders

Designed and executed promotional plans for the 2018 Chamber Golf Outing, Small Business Celebration, Business After Hours program, and New Directions Employee Assistance Program

Developed event management skills through guest list management , vendor relations, and administrative support of event planning committees

Created content and managed social media communications via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, along with website content maintenance
