DANCER
I was a ballet dancer for fourteen years and a jazz dancer for six years at the Landing Dance Academy. I performed in several community events including the Cadillac Leadership Variety Show, YMCA Dancing with the Y Stars, North American Snow Festival Miss NASF Pageant, Salvation Army Fashion Show Fundraiser, Patriot Choir Fundraiser, Women’s Luncheon at the United Methodist Church, Cadillac Festival of Arts, and the Cadillac High School production of the Wizard of Oz.
I continued my passion for dance at Michigan State University as a member of the MSU Dance Club from 2014-2016. Members practiced every Tuesday and had workshops each Sunday. We learned several routines throughout the school year and performed at campus events such as the Homecoming Parade and UAB events. MSU Dance Club is active in the Lansing community. We hosted a Mid-Year show in November 2015 and raised over $700 for Haven House, a homeless charity in East Lansing. Each May, the club hosts a spring recital at East Lansing High School.
ARTIST
I am an avid artist and I enjoy using watercolors, ink, and graphite pencils. I have been honored with several awards for my work including 1st Place in the Vietnam Moving Wall American Legion poster contest and 1st Place and the People's Choice Award in the Cadillac Festival of Arts poster contest. As part of Cadillac Schools Art Around Town initiative, my artwork has been displayed at three local businesses - Northwestern Bank, Great Lakes Family Care, and Four Winns Boats. I also designed and painted a mural for the Cadillac High School Main office during my junior year.
